New CDC projection on 05/15/20 of over 100,000 COVID-19 deaths by end of May. However, CDC projections have consistently undercounted cases and deaths, and this latest projection likewise appears to once again underestimate the deadly results of the U.S. sore lacking of national leadership in combating a deadly global pandemic. Fear COVID-19 deaths by the end of June will in actuality reach 150,000 – 200,000, nearly doubling in one month.
04/22/20 saw a new worst of nearly 2,700 COVID-19 deaths in a single day, topping the nearly 2,400 Americans lost on 04/14/20. Trump's claim was simply more of his wishful thinking, lies, and bogus claims. Clueless, disinterested, deranged, disengaged, and detached from reality are not the qualities you want in a leader during a major global pandemic crisis. That's a lethal combination that has already cost more American lives in just eight weeks than the Vietnam War in its entire twelve-year span.
It's like rowing or paddling upstream, or into a stiff wind–if you ease-up too much or stop, you will only have to paddle twice as hard to make up all the previous hard-earned progress that was quickly lost. Failing to maintain isolation and other measures for sufficient time to stop the spread of COVID-19 transmission will cost U.S. more in time, effort, money, and LIVES. Reopening and relaxing measures too early in defiance of the science and data is the ultimate in colossal ignorance, greed, ruthlessness, and arrogance.

Wow, just try to scare us to death. The FLU killed way more people , and we never heard about that from these NEWS people. Then they Order us to stay in our houses?! We can all go back to work with personal protection, and employer adjustments for safety. It's really horrible that hard working citizens are losing their jobs and businesses 😕. Let's pay attention to the Federal government taking away our rights by telling us what to do…. We are just rolling over and letting THEM do it us!…. Our State Government is separate from the Federal government, and they Don't have to go by what the President suggests that we should do. Our State government has the power to say No to these Suggestions, and to protect us from this ridiculousness of stomping all over our constitutional rights, and civil rights.
Who could have anticipated spreads of the virus from people who were possibly asymptomatic, when they all got together at work or church or sporting events? Who could have known? Certainly not the President of the United States!
Close to 100,000 Americans have died now and the virus is still very active. Gee what do you think will happen from people getting together in large groups? This thing is far from over.

I’m an Australian and in my State Victoria we had an out break at Cedar Meats. Instead of making everyone continue working to help stop any community spread our government sent in a direct response team who closed down the meat plant so the whole building could be cleaned. They then tested every single worker and brought in contact tracing detectives to get anyone they may have come in contact with tested and then those 99 people which ended up testing positive were quarantined. The whole process took a few weeks and Cedar Meats opened up again only once the outbreak was contained and it was truly safe for the workers not infected to return back to work. This is how any outbreaks no matter where they spring up are being handled successfully in Australia and many other countries which have successfully gotten the virus under control.

What we hopefully begin to realize is the problem inherent in the profit above people system we generated in the US, especially over the past 40 years. I read several articles earlier this week that predicted 1) 42% of the jobs lost during the crisis will not be coming back. 2) We're looking at the front edge of a decade long depression. Neither of these prospects is exciting.
We all have it already – it was when they released the trigger to activate it that the issue starts – you need to re-educate yourselves in what your governments get upto with your monies – or…… bury your head in the sand.
