  1. I have a choice that I can have only biology or I can also take take maths in 11th and 12th grade high-school. What should I do take both or focus on biology because I want to major in that area. I am confused because the video says calculus and algebra will be part of college for me

  2. Ill be going to UTK majoring in this in the fall 😬 planning on PA school afterwards. If anyone sees this comment in the passing years ask me for an update 😅

  3. i already have a bachelors of dental surgery and a masters in dental biology. but im not satisfied. my next aim is to get a bachelors in biology. i was in part motivated by watching aron ra lectures

  4. It's good that I already learnt about genetics, cells, and anatomy in 7th grade, now for everything else… But I can do this!

  5. Can anyone tell me what do i do to become a medical scientist in detail. I've just given my 10th std exam and i want to become a medical scientist. I've searched everywhere on youtube but everyone gives shit advice. I want to know which exam to give for that, study abroad or within India, what is average salary, what should i do after completing my 12th std and every thing related to this field right from the base

  6. So I'm going for a bio major but I didnt have a great study ethic in high school. I didnt do well in chemistry at all but biology I did great and physics I did ok. I'm ok at math and amazing at english and history. I really want to be a dentist but I am terrified of this degree. Can anyone help out?

  7. Would anyone seeing this comment be willing to share your experiences studying biology in college or university with me? I’m curious if I would like to do it myself.

  8. 4th year biology student. Just wanted to share a few things in case anyone is interested in studying biology. Especially if you are interested in pursuing a health profession.

General university tips: If you are interested in medicine you need to hit the ground running. Be organized and strategic, read your syllabus and know exactly what you have to do to get an A, and make sure you don’t slack off on studying. Get the As in your freshman and sophomore courses. Not only will it give a good base for your GPA but you will be competing with people who get a 3.8 GPA and medical experience.

Freshman and sophomore year you are setting your foundation for biology and it’s important to really study and understand. You will go into the topics more in depth in the later years. It’s important to be well rounded in the sciences as you will need to take one year of physics and one year of math – possibly calculus 1 and statistics. Organic chemistry is an absolute killer, usually sophomore year. The first two years are heavily based on exams. The upper classes seem to start moving towards research based projects etc.

With any degree you get what you put into it. If you have a passion for biology go for it.

But also be aware if you want healthcare there are SO many specialized programs you can take. Nursing is an excellent career with a lot of variety and specialties. Medical Lab Scientists, Respiratory Therapists, Radiographers, Sonographers, the other day I discovered a program near my area that was called “invasive cardiovascular technologist” which I am assuming is like a cath lab tech. These are all programs that you can do your 2-4 years and be in healthcare with a good career. With your biology degree it may not be as useful. Just my .02.

  9. *when you really like biology and everything about it then you realize that majoring in biology will just be about evolution crap*. Feelsbadman

  10. I hate this college crap, all they had me do is read a book educate myself and then go back to class. the only thing that I couldn't do myself was the laboratory work.

  11. I'm a physician board certified in Family Medicine practicing for 15 years. Completed undergraduate w/ BS in Biology. Glad I did. Felt very much at home taking basic science courses in my first 2 years of medical school.

I'd like to offer the following unsolicited advise for those of you aspiring to become an MD/DO.

Think VERY hard before applying your AP credit from highschool. Medical school is an extremely competitive process. Why forgo a slam dunk "A" in a 4 credit class which will boost your GPA???

This was my biggest mistake during undergrad and I still look back thinking how I wished someone had told me to do otherwise!

  12. I want to start a major in marine biology but where I live is far from the ocean.

Myself has a love for animals, especially marine animals and I want to save the ocean from the people that are destroying the ocean and killing all the sea life.

But anyway, this is an awesome channel. Keep it up buddy

Edit: I think I want to change my mind to anatomy and physiology bio because that's just f***ing cool. Either that or marine biology. How about both, that'll be cool

  13. I am going into my first year of my biology major I hope I made the right choice, or should I have taken neuroscience.

  14. I am going into my first year of my biology major I hope I made the right choice, or should I have taken neuroscience.

  15. Since I actually like the animal part of biology, I'm planning on moving to natural sciences… gosh I hope it works

  16. As someone who currently hates their engineering major, i may consider going into biology. This is helpful
