  1. Used to get hay fever every year without fail. Been vegan for nearly 2 years and hay fever stopped completely, zero colds, feeling great … even though I’m a paraplegia.

  2. Foods rich in vitamin C include broccoli, cantaloupe, cauliflower, kale, kiwi, orange juice, papaya, red, green or yellow pepper, sweet potato, strawberries, and tomatoes.

  3. I've not been sick for 4 years after switching to whole foods, plant based! Yay! I work in public schools & would get bronchitis, pneumonia, whooping cough, flu, gut health issues…(Happy dance!) plus I exercise now & spend more time outdoors.

  4. Guava has like 120 mg of vitamin c compared to the 80 of an Orange per same amount. Strawberries also have around 95 mg. There are so many fruits that have more vitamin c than citrus fruits. Citrus is just more abundant and can be stored longer.

there have been arguments that acid forming foods hurt your immune system, and sweet potatoes are a food that’s kinda low on the ph scale and is starchy so that might not be the absolute best choice.

I am 16, and had hashimotos, gluten intolerance, and rheumatoid arthritis. All autoimmune, all involved together. Switched to plant based, and I can now eat gluten with no problem, when before, I ended up twice in the emergency room for lidocaine. My muscle and joint pains are pretty much gone, and my headaches and fatigue is very rare too. My hormones are back to being balanced, but I still have side effects from the hypothyroidism such as being cold and hair loss. But those are such minor things compared to everyday migraines. This is being 4 months vegan and 3 years vegetarian/lactose free

  5. So true! Since going vegan, I haven’t been sick (and usually, I would get a cold at least once or twice a year). Of course, didn’t just go vegan, but whole food plant based.

  6. I'm looking left & right at all my non plant based friends & family dropping like flies, getting sick super easily, I can't tell you the last time I've gotten sick since starting veganism in 2015
