This is because vitamin c is a complex, and you need to have the entire vit c complex in order to not have a deficiency. Megadoses of ascorbic acid will take up all the vit c receptors in your body, which will not allow the rest of the vitamin c complex any receptors available to which they can bind. In order to get your vitamin C without all that sugar, which can cause diabetes if you have too much, i like to make a pitcher of citrus water. i put it in an airtight container that blocks out all the light to preserve the vit C content. i use water i filter with my PUR water filtration pitcher, but any filtered water will do. i add slices of organic citrus, because you dont want pesticides. i like to add orange, lemon, but any citrus will do. i also like to add some unsweetened 100% cranberry juice, which you can freeze into ice cubes and store in a zip top baggie in your freezer. i also like to throw in a chunk of peeled fresh ginger. i let this all steep in my refrigerator. The vit c from the whole citrus slices will infuse into the water, and you will be getting more of the vit c complex this way. i just top off the pitcher with water as i drink it, and each week i make a fresh pitcher of this. I WANT EVERYONE TO BOOST THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEM, and this is why i am giving you my secret recipe !!! STAY SAFE, AND STAY HEALTHY, EVERYONE!!!
