Herd immunity is obtained only by vaccination.
Well..herd immunity can be managed and controlled by doing parallel research on died patients and recovered patients. First we need to get data of post mortem and ante mortem of died patients, and get to know what make these patients have low chance to survive. Get the data. Then we need to get data from recovered patients. Then makes pre-eliminary medical summary/assumption that people who have, let say, pre-condition "A" are vulnerable and have low chance to survive, meanwhile people with pre-condition "B" have good antibody and have high chance to survive.
Put the people with pre-conditon "B" in community as a shield, let them get infected then recovered, and protect people with pre-condition "A" in safe zone(under quarantine). I think this might works.

It’s A form of Coronavirus not chicken pox. So like the flu NO their is no herd immunity.
How is it contracted? Same as any Coronavirus. So if you can catch a cold to flu by touch,spit, sneezing, being too close to an infected person then of course you can catch Covid the same way.
If wearing a mask protects others from getting your flu to gives you a barrier to lessen your chance of infection from flus to phemonia (all Coronavirus types) then of course they will help do the same with COVID-19.

The main thing the reporters and everyone watching needs to know is that it is known that it will be about at least 2 years before 70% of a population can develop "some sort of immunity" this is coming from many notable people. If you look at most other major pandemics it was roughly 2-3 years before that number could be achieved.
Yes people need to work but unfortunately I still see many people being careless and wreckless not doing thorough prolonged research not knowing what kind of proper filters are out there that they can use in masks and yet there are still many in NYC for example that refuse to wear any mask, I've seen many.
