  1. I take Vit D3 60K IU weekly with 40mg of Zinc and 2000 mg of VitC … M putting my mum age 64 on same to robust her immune system.

  2. Since there are cells lining the nasal and respiratory passages that activate vitamin D to fight viruses would nebulizing vitamin D directly into the respiratory tract be an effective treatment for Covid-19?

  3. Since Vitamin D is aiding prevention, this needs to be allowed; it is nudity. People need to be a accepted for who they are, not what they wear. The body makes Vitamin D 3, in the sun.

  4. How do you feel about essential oil diffusers & immunity boosting essential oils for the home? Dr. Bragg’s vinegar? white vinegar as a cleaning agent to combat bacteria, viruses, and fungus?

  5. There may be a correlation between absorption of Vitamin D through sunlight and the higher incidence of CoVid19 among dark skinned people. People with more melanin in their skin do not absorb as much Vitamin D, compared to light skinned folks. The statistics out of Chicago and Louisiana indicate that African Americans are a larger segment of people infected and suffering health decline. Although this is not definitive proof of a connection it is worthy of consideration. People! Take D3 supplements!

  6. Kudos Doc! You called it. Vitamin D is a good shield. I've been taking it since you did this video. Zero defects. Thank you 😊

  7. I regularly take cod liver oil mostly every day. I have not gotten full blown respiratory infections for years, though I would be hit every flu season many years ago before taking the cod liver oil.

  8. REQUEST: can u pls make one vide in which u talk about vitamins and supplements that should be taken dosages included to improve immunity against Coronavirus! Thank you

  9. This is a pandemic. Randomized controlled trials are only necessary for dangerous drugs. Not for known safe vitamins and nutrients.
Saying otherwise is idiocy. If it's not harmful just try it!
If it works time after time then the trials are completely unnecessary.
When it works repeatedly that's proof! Unless you not conversing in English?!
Only liars suggest there is no proof at that point.

  10. Assuming the vitD hypothesis is valid, there should be differences across ethnic groups. That is, ethnic differences in vitD production due to skin thickness and pigmentation which affect synthesis by UVB.

  11. I experienced this myself when I was working at a nursing home during a great outbreak of intestinal flu. There was a number of deaths of residents and staff members were out ill, one after the other. A study by the state health department proved there were several different mutations of the same flu that kept circulating among the residents. I never got sick. I was taking 5000 units of Vit D at the time and I was 69 years old at the time. My pharmacist told me that toxic level of Vit D was 54,000 units per week and I was well below that. I have since cut my dosage down to 4000 per day and I take it fall, winter, and spring, every year. I do not get colds, broncitis or pneumonia that everyone else seems to get.

  12. It is widely believed that vitamin D is the signaling hormone the body uses to determine that it's summer. It's the primary reason why there is such a thing as a flu season. Our bodies heal better in the summer than in the winter and vitamin D is considered to be very good against things like the flu. Whereas vitamin C is really good for colds actually both are good for both, but he's right it's one of the primary reasons why they didn't want to get the kids off the beaches in Florida right away because it's going to cause the general flu season to last a little bit longer because of vitamin D that they have not gathered on the beach they will most likely get the flu and pass it on this year. If you look into vitamin D and K2 you'll find that it does a lot of more amazing things especially in the mega vitamin D book.

  13. Dr Sehelut – can you please connect the dots between your recent CoronaVirus #37 Video on ACE2 receptors and how Vitamin D influences the expression of those. There has been conflicting advice among scientists and the medical community on whether or not Vitamin D's influence on ACE2 is protective or problematic.

  14. Please help me understand that if i have low vitamin d should i be taking more than the 2000iu? I’ve been taking 10000iu for the last two weeks.

  15. Take Vitamin D3 with some K2 and take D3 with a healthy fat to absorb better. My D3 level is around 50 year round. Make sure Magnesium level is up which helps D work better. Probiotics should help with most diseases. We have been prescribed too much antibiotics and most of us have dysbiosis (altered bowel flora) which opens up Pandora's box to disease and depression. I'm 68 and no colds of flu without vaccine for about 14 years now. Low D3 and lack of probiotics = sickness. Correlation or causation??

  16. It is irresponsible how governments around the world do not promote prevention by way of immune system – which would prevent thousands of diseases and not just COVID-19 – but instead, all this crazy mass hysteria around 'no contact' as the method of 'health' and 'safety' instead.

  17. So I fell down the rabbit hole with COVID-19 with regard to IL-6 / mast cells and patients on ventilators yesterday and ended up finding this video.

I am not a doctor but from what I can tell, this would probably mean that the one of the ways to reduce COVID-19 fatalities may be for people to take 400-800 iu daily. As in the video, do not go over the 800 iu total and make sure to follow your doctor's prescriptions. Ideally, starting the supplement would begin a couple of weeks before onset of symptoms of COVID-19.

I suspect vitamin D may have a small role in general immunity boosting but the bigger role is in regulating the lung's inflammatory response to the virus. If this is correct then vitamin D supplementation may improve the way a patient's lungs respond to the virus and could potentially reduce the need for mechanical ventilation or length of time on a ventilator, freeing them up for more patients and preserving more lives.

The "underlying health factors" associated with the mortality rate of COVID-19 appear to correlate with this deficiency. Since an estimated 42% of the US population is vitamin D deficient, with similar numbers worldwide, supplements could be effective and life saving. At a minimum this would give people some agency in their response to COVID-19 and improve their outlook.
