  1. That was exactly the video I was looking for, because I have exactly the same problems … I ride my bike to work and it consumes my strength, despite the small distance and that I'm only 26 years old.

  2. raw onion & garlic 👍 i love garlic!

bananas at cafes etc.. ever seen a ripe one? i actually don't ride with bananas because i don't want them bruised lol. but i have a lot of bananas in my diet in general

  3. I find riding in cold weather; particularly up hills gives me terribly blocked sinus’. A bit of steam up the old snout when I’m home and I’m al good again.

I’d imagine you get quite a bit of cold air up your way!

  4. As do I after my longest ride in years ,sadly, I feel absolutely crap. I'm 64 and do feel it's an age thing,I certainly know I dont bounce as well hence 2yrs off. I'm also overweight which adds to the misery

  5. One thing I can highly recommend, especially during winter months, is a vitamin D supplement. I’d had psoriasis and constantly aching legs for years and it was never suggested I should take Vit D as I’m a gardener by profession so shouldn’t really need it. However, it cleared my psoriasis in days and cured the aching legs literally overnight. As a side effect I’ve also noticed its strengthened my immune system. Beyond hangovers I’m NEVER ill. I think we should all be taking it during winter. It’s done wonders for me.

  6. Hi Leo, as always, I enjoy your videos. I missed the brand of jersey you brought. I live outside of the UK but might go online to check it out.

  7. As for age, trt can help greatly.I would also add to the list: eating probiotics such as sauerkraut and kimchi (in small doses), eating cold potatoes (for resistant starch), drinking raw organic fermented milk (tastes great blended with berry fruits and a banana, organic beet kvass (kills thirst better than any other beverage I know of). Poor gut health is being increasingly linked to mental disfunctions. Also, regular vacuum cleaning, dusting off and ventilating our living space can improve our immune system, mood and improve the quality of sleep and thus recovery times.

  8. Great video. Thanks for all the kudos. Keep up the hardwork 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. I’ve been having overnight oats packed with berries, bananas and chia seeds for a few years now. Touch wood not had any sort of cold either. What is the music btw? Best wishes Richard 🚴🏼‍♂️💨

  9. I've got that jersey. Its my go to winter jersey. Great value especially in the sale. Only gripe is the rear zip pocket is slightly too small and I struggle to get my phone in and out, especially whilst riding. Warn in conjunction with 2 base layers its kept me warm (yet not sweaty) for several 3hr + rides in near zero temp conditions

  10. I think you covered it all well. I too have had period of being below parr, perhaps we push ourselves harder than we realise sometimes, after all exercise is a stress on the system and as we age we become more sensitive to stress. But the rub is being active and fit we don't feel old and don't always notice the subtle signs when our bio-rythm's want us to ease off.
